I waited months for an appointment. Was getting close to the end of my tether. Then they offered me an external referral. I gave it a go but they were clueless. I have very personal issues and they referred me for group therapy. Right, I’m going to open up in there.

I told them that I wasn’t going to do the group therapy and they discharged me. On my own AGAIN.

I know that COVID-19 is causing problems but I’ve just been abandoned. Thanks for nothing. I’m discharging you! 😡

Sorry to hear that your contact with the service didn't go well. Could you get in contact with us so that we can re-visit what options would be helpful to you. Could you email: elft.communications@nhs.net and title it: FAO Newham Talking Therapies. I will watch out for your email and forward it to the service manager.

We are trying to provide a service for everyone despite the limits caused by coronavirus. There is a longer wait for one-to-one therapy but it sounds as if this is the approach you would prefer. So please come back to us so that we can find a way forward. Once again, I am sorry that this has caused you further distress
