"Staff went above and beyond"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Admission/Assessment Unit

(as a service user),

I had a planned section in June 2020 during the covid pandemic. I received  my antenatal care privately but was admitted to Craigavon Area Hospital Matetnity Ward on a number of occasions during my pregnancy as I suffered with a lot of sickness resulting in bouts of dehydration. The care I received during these admissions and then during delivery and post-natally was excellent. Staff went above and beyond. Dr Shahid and all the staff in Maternity Assessment and the ward are beacons for our NHS and I cannot thank them enough. They should be very proud of themselves.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on the birth of your baby and I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these uncertain and challenging times. I am delighted to hear that your experience of our service was a positive one and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your lovely comments in relation to our staff who have gone above and beyond for all their mothers and babies to ensure they are kept safe during these very difficult times. I will take great pleasure in passing your compliment onto all the staff within our maternity department so thank you again.

I wish you all the very best.

Take care

Michelle
