"The level of care was faultless"

About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Labour suite maternity

(as a service user),

Wonderful birth experience

I gave birth in the CMU at the RAH in September and I felt that all of the team were extremely professional, helpful and empathetic. After giving birth both my baby and myself were extremely well cared for. Each midwife checked on both of us on a regular basis. Breastfeeding was very important to me and my baby really struggled to latch. The midwives were very patient and supported me throughout and helped me express what I needed for my baby. They helped give me confidence and helped me address some of the main issues with feeding my baby. I really couldn’t have asked for more. Given the difficult circumstances with Covid, the level of care was faultless. Thank you to all the staff

Dear Lomond Mummy

Congratulation on the birth of your baby boy and I hope that you are both doing well.

It’s great to hear that the CMU Team were extremely professional, helpful and empathetic. I am glad that the Midwives were able to assist you with breastfeeding.

I will pass on your thanks to the Team.

Best wishes

Angela Duffy

Lead Midwife
