"Urgent Care team were great"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Today I went to the A and E at Kings Colllege Hospital and was really pleasantly surprised by the experience. Not only were the waiting times short to be seen and to get by blood test results, but also everyone was gentle, soft spoken and caring and I felt really safe and supported. Even the catering trolley lady was super sweet and jolly and cheered me up. I left feeling a whole lot better than I did when I arrived, with more information plus a prescription and a referral to the breast clinic. The whole process was so professional and calm, minimal drama and didn't feel judged or belittled. Possibly my best A and E experience as an adult ever. Feeling super grateful for our amazing NHS. Thanks to everyone involved!

Hi. Thanks for your kind comments about the care you received at the Urgent Care Centre at King's Denmark Hill. Great to hear that your experience, on all fronts, from clinical staff to catering staff. Also pleased that staff were able to reassure you and send you away with a clear plan. I will pass your comments onto our Head of Nursing as I know she will want to share with staff. Many thanks again for taking the time to comment.
