I recently chose to donate plasma and was given an appointment in Ninewells blood donor centre.
I received excellent care for the duration of the appointment. I was initially somewhat anxious about the process having never been a plasma donor before. I also was feeling a bit guilty about not having donated blood in over a decade.
I was reassured throughout and received 1:1 attention, putting me at ease. All aspects of the process were explained to me in full.
Based on my positive experience I booked another session and have encouraged others to donate.
