"Removal of polyp"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was referred to Lincoln hospital for the removal of a polyp when it had been found during a routine cervical screening appointment.   The polyp was positioned in such a place as to make the screening impossible.   I got my appointment within a few days of the attempted screening.   I was a little late due to problems parking but the staff were absolutely lovely.   I was treated in the Colposcopy department by Mr Flood who was assisted by Ruth and Anita.   I am the biggest coward there is and they put me at my ease and made the whole experience almost a pleasure 😊.   I will now have to wait for a further appointment for my screening but have nothing but praise for the care and attention that I received.   Our NHS system and staff are wonderful.   Thank you

Hi Valerieann

Thank you for taking the time to post your lovely comments. As a department we take pride in the welcome we give and the effort we make to help women feel at ease in an environment that can for some women be very difficult. I am delighted that we achieved this on this occasion. I will pass on these kind remarks to the department staff and especially to Ruth and Anita

Best wishes

Debbie
