"Flu jab "

About: Woodside Medical Centre

I booked my flu jab a week ago. I then received x3 txt telling me the procedure on arrival etc. I arrived promptly at midday followed the procedure and entered the surgery The nurse then asked me why I was attending. I replied my flu jab. She then asked what categorie I was under ??? I said as in ? She asked me if I had renal failure ? I said no. Did I have heart failure? Said no. Did I have liver failure? Said no. The nurse then said because I’m not at risk can’t have the jab. I was furious. My point is you have known for over a week I’m not at risk yet u still txt me 3 times telling me to attend then as I’m about to have the jab it gets taken away. I’m not callous by any means. But what’s the point in giving the above a flu jab again I’m not being callous here. To the above When they are at risk ? I am a 57 male in great health I’m in full time work I’m a key worker I’ve been working since the lockdown 7 days a week and I can’t have a flu jab because I’m not at risk. So tell me going to work 7 days a week. Is not risky enough. ??? This is the first time in some 5 years I have not had to pay for my own flu jab and because I’m not at risk I have to wait. Till when ?? I get Covid and can’t work I’m not not at any point blaming the nurse at all. But the procedure is flawed. As you can tell I’m furious it’s a shambles. Utter shambles
