"Coping with Complex PTSD"

About: Community Partnerships Service

(as a service user),

I had served in Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. Over the years had gradually lost confidence, developed a lot of anger and frustration, feelings of self doubt, self loathing, sadness and fear. Two years ago I had an incident that triggered memories from 25 years back and my condition and symptoms became unbearable. I finally asked for help.

The help and support I received from St Andrews has been invaluable and has helped me through a very difficult time. Not once did I feel alone, I was supported and nurtured throughout my journey and guided to finding the answers that has made my life so much better. Because of the help I received, I am now in a happier place. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences. It is wonderful to hear that you are in a much better place and that support from the team has been helpful in that journey.
