My mother is in a care home and an appointment was made for her to see a doctor following a scan...presumably to discuss what was found..
As attending the hospital would result in her having to be quarantined for two weeks I've been trying to get through to find out if the review can be done over the phone...have tried the number given on the letter..number 28 in queue ( didn't bother holding), a direct number that is for the department that I've had to use before..number 2 in queue (35 mins and gave up) , the 'help if you cant get through' number (told to try switchboard) and the switchboard... who put me back onto the department appointments number..number 5 in queue (still on hold...).
I'm now doing this review whilst on hold and still waiting!
Been trying to get through now for over an hour and this sort of thing happens EVERY time I have to phone the manor - yet when we go the receptionist(s) seem to be sitting around and the phones not ringing....how come?
"Answer the phone!"
