After being 10 days overdue I finally went into labour naturally. At 4am I got myself to the RAH Paisley to be greeted by Sharon from the blue team of midwives (who was amazing the full time) at the Cmu department. I was then checked over and moved quickly to the Ruby suite which was set out with candles and soothing twinkle lights.
Sharon made me feel relaxed even in these uncertain times and provided me with gas n air. Baby was born with no complications. Afterwords the care we had was great, midwives made us tea and toast & helped me take a shower a few hours after giving birth. I was home later on the day after myself and baby were checked over and good to go.
Thank you to the community midwives especially the blue team, Holly, Rachel, Stephanie & Sharon who delivered our baby.
