"Turned away"

About: Cromer Hospital

Turned away with a child in pain for minor injuries unit.

Arriving at 740pm, 20 minutes before closing time, my daughter was refused entry despite clearly being in pain as I brought her in using a wheel chair.

If you are open until a time, don't close early! Website said open until 8pm hence our decision to head to Cromer. What is your arbitrary cut off time next time? Turn away someone at 7 because you don't want a late night.

Told to go to N&N where there was a 6-8hr wait.

Previous experience at Cromer very good.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback.

I am sorry that you have had this experience at Cromer Hospital; it would be really helpful to know who you are so we can look into this with the team, with you. If you are able to contact us via PALS on 01603 289036 or via email pals@nnuh.nhs.uk we would really like to look into this for you to see why this happened.

Kindest regards

Sarah Lynam

PALS Manager
