It genuinely saddens me that in my opinion the police and ambulance service seem to care and listen more about my mental health than any of the services offered here.
I feel like when ask for help from SHSC it’s not given and then you end up in crisis where emergency services have to deal with you. And they save my life countless times. They sit and talk to you like a person and make me feel so much better. I feel I am palmed off when I contact SHSC.
I’ve sent so many complaints it’s a joke! It's lucky emergency services are there to save people like me.
Rethink mental illness phone line also save me and care a lot. Without them I wouldn’t be alive. I’m so grateful for them, they never make me feel like a burden or not worthy of support. Again I feel lucky that there’s other services who are there for people and have helped me in the past.
Genuinely disgusts and upsets me, but as I’ve been told -it is what it is. It feels like services leave it too late to help people and then have a go when they get annoyed. It takes people getting annoyed for you too notice and then service users get the brunt of it but it’s your service in my view that’s failing us.
Why does it take kicking off to get a response (sometimes). I think this contributes to losing staff and it feels like things are getting worse. You need to seriously rethink how your staff talk to service users and staff members. It’s not on, end of. And you know that, that’s what’s saddening. In short terms... sort it out.
