Within the space of two weeks my husband and I found out we were expecting, but the happiness was short lived as this turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. The plan was to use Methotrexate to end the pregnancy, unfortunately this didn’t quite work.
I was given two options; despite it all being very daunting and a horrific experience, I couldn’t fault the staff in anyway. They were truthful, patient and very empathetic. Thank you Lyn and a Moira at Early pregnancy unit RAH. Special thanks to the amazing nurses, auxiliary nurses, cleaners, at ward 32 in the Maternity building. I didn’t want to leave. Ward 32- Lynn, Karen, Diana, Claire, I cant remember everyone but you have made a lasting impact on me. I have never been treated so well by the NHS.
Your communication skills were spot on, You absolutely bent over backwards for me. I felt really special and cared for. Absolute Angels. You deserve some proper recognition, some type of reward scheme. You hardly had a minute but your time management skills shone through and I felt like nothing was too much to ask. This is where you want to be when you suffer baby loss and an operation. I feel like I’ve made friends for life. Truly amazing and exceeded my expectations of the role of a nurse.
