"Overall extremely high standard of care and…"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

From entering to being on medical assessment unit to ward D46 could not fault the standard and professional manner that all staff displayed. Particularly noted empathy and return to

basic bed side manner being excellent as a 53 year old the nurse made me feel looked after and special. Whilst we go into hospital for medical reasons for the first time I feel that she cared for me as an individual and not the next patient. Very astute as to when needed a chat and when didn't. Everyone who I came into contact with from ambulance crew to nurses doctors catering team and domestics all had a smiling face and fully explained everything to me and asked my opinion as to what treatment I was happy to receive. Did note all wards had a few empty beds so was not as busy as can be and cant help but think that if we give these professionals the time to do what they do best then quality returns.
