It started with a High temperature, so got tested quickly for Covid. The following day I had cellulitis in my leg (had it once before so knew it was that). Got antibiotics for that, unfortunately they weren't working great so ended up my Dr telling me to go to hospital, got seen initially by a becs nurse practitioner, ended up with a cannula put in and iv antibiotics. Was in and out of hospital for 3 days getting iv drip. After that was on a 10day course of antibiotics. Got a phonecall to go back in to get bloods checked as something flagged up in liver function. So went back into get it checked and all was fine. Finished the 10 day course, but it still wasn't quite cleared do had another course for 5 days. It's getting there, only thing now is my foot swelling up.
So would like to thank Braeside practice staff (reception, also Dr MacDonald who seen me at a drop of a hat)
Becs staff, the medical team of Dr's Ambulatory care, Pauline from transfusion dept. Covid 19 hub.
You are all truly amazing and very thankful for you all and our NHS Borders
"Thankful for you all"
