"A Huge Clap From Me"

I was a patient at Midway 29 August - 11 September 2020 recovering from a back operation for loss in mobility and double incontinence. The medical, cleaning, kitchen and care staff are absolutely wonderful, despite their long hours they really looked after me with a terrific sense of humour. The physio team and I sat down and using a prepared patient booklet decided sensible goals for me to achieve for mobility, transfer and dressing. With weekday use of the gym and stairs carrying out specific task, with lots of their encouragement, plus exercises in my room, I worked hard, kept positive and very gradually I began to see improvements in those areas. I left the unit achieving much more than I thought I would, dressing myself, climbing up and down stairs with a crutch and moving around with confidence. Now I’m home I hope to continue to make progress. Huge resounding hand claps and much affection to all of you who made it possible. Thank you xxxxx
