"An extremely positive experience"

About: Borders General Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

Yesterday I attended to have a MRI scan at the Borders General hospital.

I felt very  anxious and unfortunately had listened to lets of stories about going into tunnels etc.

However I had no reason to worry, as from the unset the staff explained with detail each step. There understanding of me and how I felt was treated with the utmost compassion. The procedure was so efficient and at no time did I feel anxious.

I left the department wondering why I was so anxious.

Well done to the 3 ladies who looked after me so well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this lovely feedback, it has been much appreciated by the Radiology Team.

Having an MRI scan for the first time can be a daunting thought and we know that many patients can feel anxious.

Our MRI team take pride in supporting patients throughout their visit and I am really pleased that you felt this made a big difference to your experience whilst having a scan.

Kind regards

Lesley
