"Mental Health crisis support"

About: Springfield University Hospital (London)

(as a service user),

I was admitted onto an assessment unit following two episodes of crisis however when I was admitted there was another patient who was verbally abusive to myself and to staff. This made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable however the staff did their best to try and make me feel as comfortable as possible.

I was so scared that I refused a sleeping medication due to the fact that I didn’t want to be asleep when this patient was awake. I isolated myself from others.
