I am husband and carer for my wife. She was brought to A& E by ambulance after falling and sustaining heady injury . She has sick sinus syndrome with LBBB .
Her fall was caused when she became Brady / Cardy her pulse rate was recorded in A&E as27/160
Her head was scanned ,there was no cranial bleed.
She moved to the emergency floor and monitored for 48 hrs ,
After nearly a dozen such incidents ,two in the last month one with broken ankle she is still refused a pacemaker with no explanations given. Refused access to cardiology consultant.
She has been waiting for cardiology out patient appointment for 11months.
The NHS is now using Covid as excuse to do nothing ,very disappointing for this wonderful hospital who have saved both our lives in the past. I guess it will not be too long before my wife is back at A& E with another blackout and hopefully no more serious injury with I believe could be prevented by proper treatment
"Disappointing outcome"
