I came in on Saturday night in great pain and spent two hours waiting in the seating area before anyone even bothered to speak to me.I could not walk but was pulled up twice by nurses to go into a cubicle to have my blood pressure and temperature checked and finally when i saw a doctor he spoke to me like I was a child and not a fully grown woman. I was given a bed in the CDU unit but at 2.30am was woken up and told they could find nothing on my xray so i could go home. I can barely walk without screaming in pain but I was supposed to walk home in total darkness. After complaining that I was scared to try and walk home they mentioned patient transport. It would be nice if they treated you as a person and spoke to you with some respect. My cubicle was next door to a 'Saturday night drunk' who seemed to know everyone by name and had people popping in all the time to say hello. Why should he be treated better than people in pain?
