I called up the doctors today after a recent change in my side effects that concerned me over the weekend led me to call NHS 24, NHS gave me some advice and asked me to call my GP on Monday and to speak to my GP as it was an ongoing issue.
As my Dr who I regularly talk to was unavailable I was called back by a different Dr who was condescending in tone a tad patronising and made me feel like I shouldn't have wasted their time nor NHS 24 when I called up. Particularly with the comments of "I see you are a bit of a worrier" (in 20 years I think the last 18 months is the most I've seen a doctor because of this ongoing issue) and "why did you feel the need to contact NHS24"
It made me want to stop the call and talking and just get off the phone as it felt clear to me that this person wasn't interested and just wanted me off the phone and I felt belittled regarding something that I have had problems with and I am actually waiting for surgery for.
"GP with a condescending tone"
