"Long Overdue Review"

I was feeling very low. Unemployed. In my 50s. Living alone. No money. Few friends. Poor social life. I felt very alone and hopeless. My GP recommended this service and I am delighted that he did. I did an initial online assessment and, from the outset, I was told there was a waiting list but I was pleased to know that I was in the queue. Once my phone consultations began I felt better. I didn't feel so alone and, together with the "workbook" with the tasks, the relaxation CD and the ongoing questionnaires I really felt I was making progress and, more importantly, I felt I was supported. I was told that, if I felt I needed further help after my cluster of calls, the help was there after another short wait. This was reassuring although I didn't need it. My calls were scheduled to suit me and I got reminders. I cannot speak highly enough of the people who helped me and I truly wish that I was allowed to name them. I have read some poor reviews and all I can say is that, in my experience, this was a great help to me but you do need to work with them, embrace the process and be totally open with them and with yourself. If you are prepared to do this, I would very highly recommend this service. I now work full time and have a great social life too. I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you.
