(as a relative),

My husband fell and broke his ankle. He was taken by ambulance to A&E and after xrays was admitted to orthopaedic trauma on level 6 ARI. he was operated on the next day. The care which he received from all the staff, including domestics was amazing. He was then transferred to orthopaedic Rehab unit at Woodend where he spent the next week. Again the care he received from physios, nurses and health care assistants was wonderful. A special mention to "Danny", "Elsie", "Victor" and "Iona". Your care, empathy and support really got my husband through.

Since coming home we have had to make contact with Ortho rehab to get physio equipment and although a week since discharge they have gone out of their way to help. 

I can't thank you all enough. Your dedication, professionalism and kindness should be applauded.

Thank you for taking the time to relay yours and your husband's experience during your stay in the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Unit at Woodend, it is a delight to read positive stories around our colleagues' professionalism and warmth. Feedback like this validates the hard work that goes towards providing care behind the scenes, and really shines a spotlight on staff who are providing that level of empathy and care. It is encouraging to read that the kindness and support provided by the entire ward is continuing even after discharge, and please rest assured that the ward staff, and in particular those named will receive this wonderful feedback.
