From my first entrance onto the floor/unit I felt very safe in regards to COVID19. I had my face covering insitu, and had an opportunity to wash my hands and gel was provided at my seated area. As this was my first experience receiving an infusion I had some concerns. However I was quickly put at ease as Deborah explained the full procedure and steps along the way. Geraldine the student nurse carried out observations and everyone introduced themselves along the journey. Robert, one of the infusion staff was able to put me at ease again by explaining the procedures as he carried out his role. The doctor on the ward again spoke to me and I always felt I could ask any questions and raise any concerns. Margaret again kept me up to date as the infusion was increased. The lady serving our meals and drinks made this a very positive experience. I was always 2m away from the other patients and the equipment and everything in the unit was clean and airy. I felt a lot safer in this unit than in my local shop!
Overall I felt very safe due to the excellent staff adhering to all the procedures, Everyone had adequate PPE, Thankyou.
