"Disgraceful lack of compassion "

About: King's Mill Hospital

Husband admitted with suspected heart attack. He has late stage terminal lung cancer. I was not allowed to visit for 2 days due to being in EAU. And was told they would not give any details of what was happening over the phone, even to our Macmillan nurse who is based at the hospital. I informed them he could not eat solid foods and for 2 days he was only offered normal food, until the last hour on that ward someone

offered him a fortisip drink.i was told by a member of staff on the ward, husband could walk out of ward and see me if he wished.. he did wish that but due to the lung cancer struggles to walk 20 foot. Now he is on a ward I am only allowed 1 short visit. He is dying and we have so little time left. Extra Compassionate visits should be allowed.
