"Health Inclusion Team and pandemic response"

About: Highly Specialist Services / Health Inclusion Team

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The Health Inclusion Team is a specialist team of nurses working with families with children aged 0 to 19 and young adults who are living in temporary accommodation, gypsies and travellers, victims of domestic abuse, trafficking, asylum seekers or refugees.

As a service HIT has historically struggled to gain service user and carer feedback. Due to the pandemic team had to replace the majority of their face to face contacts with telephone consultations. The narrative below is a summary of feedback that was individually collected.

My experience of the service and home visits was good. I found the telephone appointments very good as things were explained very clearly. I was very excited about the home visit I had during pandemic. The changes to the service have met my needs.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

A home visit has been the main way we support families and I am pleased to hear that the changes we have had to make still meet your needs.

Kind regards
