Thank you for sharing your experience with us on the Children's unit. Your positive message will certainly alleviate any worries or anxieties that some of our children, young people and families may feel about coming to hospital if they feel unwell during this coronavirus pandemic.

As you may have noticed when you arrived we have reorganised our Children's Unit to ensure that all children, families and staff remain and feel safe. It probably felt a little different to last time you came!

We are actively asking our parents, carers and families to please continue to seek NHS help through their GP or NHS 111 and the emergency department (A&E) if their child becomes suddenly unwell. Hospitals are safer than your own home if your child needs emergency care. We continue to work with our GP colleagues who have immediate telephone access to a consultant paediatrician for support as needed.
