"Amazing experience"

I arrived when visiting family nearby. I was in maternity for about 6 days following complications during pregnancy and my daughter was in scbu for 12 days. During this time I recieved such outstanding care that was second to none from both departments. The staff went out of their way to accomadate my partner due to being out of area despite covid-19, they were amazingly supportive in what was a difficult medical situation and explained everything/ read betwen the lines on some of my questions to give me the answers that I may not have wanted but was asking for. Staff remained upbeat throughtout their long shifts and ensured we had all we needed. Staff on scbu were incredibly nurturing teaching us how to tube feed etc so we were able to fully care for our daughter without relying on staff to comolete certain procedures. I would 100% recommend the birth centre at furness general without a 2nd thought and am almost upset that due to not being local I am unlikely to have any future labours here.
