"Minor Injuries Unit"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / General Medicine (Lomond Ward)

(as a parent/guardian),

My 6 year old son had a fall when over at Balmaha.   He ended up with a deep gash on his right knee.   We attended the MIU at the Vale of Leven Hospital as this was closet on the way home.   Although the booking in was via the door entry intercom, the clerk was clear, helpful and put us both at ease.   Once in the nurse who attended to my son was excellent, she informed us she was a children's nurse.   She was able to put him at ease while she cleaned the wound and gave him a wee stitch.   All the staff who we came into contact were friendly and welcoming even thought it was a busy time within the unit.

Dear KC8, thank you so much for taking the time to provide this feedback. The staff will be delighted that your visit to MIU was so positive. We hope your son has recovered well.

Best Wishes from the MIU team.
