"Losing my job"

I'm a 60+ female who worked for the NHS for 30years after reaching the menopause and developing several health conditions as well as anxiety/depression and PTSD following a very traumatic loss, I found it near impossible to maintain my regular full time working hours.

I had no support or empathy from my superiors in health care.

I am a single mother with no other support system and I have worked all of my life so no-one can say I do not have a good work ethic.

When I was dismissed from the NHS I felt suicidal and unable to see any future, thankfully I have a daughter who I am very close to and I did not want to ruin her life by taking mine.

I contacted working win and started on their support services.

Matt the young man who was appointed as my support was young enough to be my son but he immediately put me at ease and spent the first session comforting me as I openly cried in a coffee shop!

After the first session he gave me lots of information and help with confidence and financial support.

This service for me was worth everything as I'm not sure I would have bothered getting out of bed if I didn't have some support.
