"Dissapointing"

I have been working with a healthy minds since having my first born daughter and suffering with postnatal depression. This service is disappointing. My first therapists style was not suited to me, and after being discharged early due to me not being able to find appointments with said therapist when both available, I self referred for new therapist and requested specific time of days. I was put with a different therapist who could accommodate me around childcare and their style suited much more and was just beginning to see benefits in some aspects of life. However problems still had a huge impact on my life, my daughters and other half. I missed one appointment due to being in a&e with a knee injury and not being able to walk. After emailing that same day to apologise and rebook I then received a voicemail 3 days later to say I had been discharged for not being in touch. Outrageous. They are keen to discharge you, no after support given, and I am back to square 1. I refuse to self refer and go through referral process AGAIN. So crazy that this is supposed to be a service offering mental health support and they do not support. Given the fact to that I actually did get in touch and this was ignored.(therapist had been communicating via email previously). Left me feeling like I have no support now and this is more pressure on me and my other half and effecting our family life and my 10 month old daughters quality of life.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback relating to your experience of attending Healthy Minds.

I am really sorry to read that you felt that yours was not a positive one.

We take all feedback about out services seriously and I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or 0800 328 7971) so that we can work with you to ensure we learn from your experience to improve the service provided to others.

With best wishes

Alan Coffey
