"Left feeling worse"

My experience with outlook southwest has put me off from getting any kind of help for my anxiety now and in the future. Your cognitive behavioural therapy phycological method of defining thoughts and feelings made me feel extremely pressured into defining an answer. The main difference between anxiety and a simple worry is that anxiety is subconscious. It is very hard to define why I’d feel a certain way or be able to define a certain event that caused me to feel anxious. Your approach to dealing with persons who have mental health isn’t very empathetic or sincere. When being pushed for an answer to fill in your tick boxes and notes. With the sound of a keyboard typing felt extremely inhumane. There was no understanding of the fact that this particular process wasn’t working for an individual and it caused me even more distress. After the call I was extremely upset and distraught. It is a huge step to try and get help for oneself and to be told that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is the only solution and something like normal therapy was only available for those with depression. It is again putting people into boxes of what someone else determines is psychologically the best option. But in reality everyone is different. I felt like I was being told to change my personality by “looking at things in a different light”. That doesn’t help someone that’s anxious as there’s no way of stopping your brain from worrying. It’s like telling someone not to worry but they can’t help it. Of all the people to know this is I’d thought a psychological specialist would understand.
