"Outstanding practice "

I have had recent significant worrying Health symptoms taken seriously and calls to the Practice responded to within a day by telephone contacts. Following the description of my symptoms over the telephone to one of the doctors (show of blood and weeks of irregular bowel movements) referral to the colorectal department and at UCH was made and a consultation and colonoscopy offered within a fortnight .

At around the same time in July this year My GP was clearly extremely concerned about neurological issues which I have been experiencing for some time and about which I phoned the practice to discuss

After a number of follow up telephone conversations about the nature of these symptoms and there not resolving , my GP insisted that I attend A& E at UCH immediately.

So within a month I have had a colonoscopy and CT brain scan and neurological assessment. Other follow up medical appointments are still to be attended

This has been a very difficult and stressful time for me and the care, concern and with worrying symptoms being taken seriously has been most reassuring and extremely helpful

My husband and I cannot overstate our appreciation of the care and clinical handling of health issues received over the 40 years we have been patients at the Practice

The reception staff are professional and exceedingly helpful in setting up appointments and being supportive of anxieties .

We feel very fortunate to have such an outstanding NHS GP practice available to us.
