"Infusion at dungannon hospital"

About: South Tyrone Hospital / Day Clinical Centre

(as the patient),

My infusion treatment been moved from Craigavon to dungannon.

This was my second time. Though it was delayed by 2 weeks due to a problem with my temp which happens sometimes at Craigavon but since the nurses are unaware of my medical history... and the current situation... decided to delay my treatment till I was tested. I was tested and proved negative since I have been shielding at home alone since March.

My second attempt at my second infusion at dungannon took place in August. After a delay due to the infusion drug arriving late I was looked after by 2 nurses Lizzie and Margaret. Friendly and to make up for the delay did their best to get the treatment done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I was lucky enough to be sitting next to a window which helped pass the time and also given a free bottle of water.

With the ongoing covid situation it will be more likely i will be going to dungannon for the foreseeable future.

The hospital is run well and with friendly caring staff who take all precautions and always try to make any treatments done as safely and quickly as possible.

Thankyou for taking the time to share your story with us.

I am sorry to hear that your treatment was delayed due to you having a high temperature, this was an unfortunate experience for you. However as I'm sure you will understand we have strict guidelines to follow during this Pandemic, to keep everyone, including yourself, as safe as possible.

It is reassuring to hear that you did eventually receive your treatment, and that you found the two nurses looking after you, Lissy and Margaret, both very friendly, and the team worked as 'safely and quickly as possible'.

I will ensure that your feedback is passed on to all the staff in the Day Clinical Centre, and once again thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
