A few weeks before lockdown I went on a drinking binge - it probably lasted for at least 5-7 days I really can't remember exactly. But what I do know is that most of that time is a complete blank and I do not want ever to go down that road again. To this date I have been sober for 22 weeks. I know this is a short space of time and I am not being over-confident and I am taking one day at a time.

My general health is much better, I am sleeping pattern has improved and I am interacting with my family in a way that is good and very positive. They have seem my improvement and again are trusting me. In the past I have given them every reason not to.

I appreciate all the help I have received from One Recovery Bucks. I do understand how difficult it must have been for the staff there to give 'the user' support at a time that has been difficult for everyone to cope with (Covid 19). All I can say is that I did get that support and am very grateful for it.

I would just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to give us your experience and share your story. It is really fantastic to hear you have been alcohol free for 22 weeks, what an achievement, especially through the challenging times of COVID-19. I do hope you have had time to reflect on how amazing this is.

It's so great to hear that you are feeling better and your sleep has improved. It is also so positive to hear how you are rebuilding your family relationships and that trust is growing, it's so important for family dynamics to move forward.

I will ensure the team hears your feedback, it's so good to hear positive feedback at this time. It has been a real challenge for colleagues with the changes to our service delivery model and meeting people's needs but it sounds like it worked in your experience.

Congratulations on what you have achieved so far and can I wish you all the very best for your future.
