"Same old problem...Reception staff !"

I’ll start with.... I’ve had throat cancer so it’s difficult to speak, especially over the phone so I do request that people listen a bit more intently.

I always re-order my medication via the app, this always works well but last Friday morning I ordered as usual knowing I would receive a message from the chemist Monday/Tuesday to collect, this didn’t happen so I phoned surgery, only to be told they hadn’t received it, even though app said “request accepted” !

So I asked for it to be sent to chemist as I was out of medication so ok !

Phoned surgery following morning to check if I could collect & to mention that could a message be passed to the team who deals with the app problem so it could be rectified, while struggling to talk I kept getting talked over by receptionist, she kept telling me to email in my prescription.

I told her that’s why I use the app as my emails were often ignored or mislaid so could she please pass on the message..... she just kept talking over me which if incredibly frustrating when I’m having difficulties talking & breathing as I am unable to do both at the same time !

This is not the first time I’ve had problems with the reception staff at this practice, there’s been others !

The Doctors & office management staff are absolutely fantastic & I cannot praise them highly enough but the reception staff on the whole, terrible.
