"Introductions"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I went to a& at QEH Gateshead after falling of a horse and landing on my side. I was in a lot of pain. I was treated with efficiency and throughly but in the days of mask wearing etc NO ONE introduced themselves, shame as a quick #hello I am and a bit of chat would have made me a feel a whole lot better. Luckily I used my mindfulness techniques to help with the waiting and because I am a former nurse I could see how they were running the service. There could have been such a small thing to make it so much better.

We're sorry to hear you've clearly had such a poor experience at the hospital. We'd like the opportunity to try and learn from some of the points that you make, so please do contact our PALS (patient advice and liaison service) team on 0800 953 0667 or ghnt.pals.service@nhs.net so that we can record your comments officially.
