"18 month wait for surgery"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have been given a proposed date for surgery that considering my age I feel is cruel and will involve a distressing amount of pain and mental pressure.

I am 82 years of age and have been told Surgery cannot take place for 18 months after Orthopaedic surgery starts again. By then I could be 84 years of age. Considering the surgery involves total right knee replacement my left knee is showing similar pathology.
