"A difficult experience"

For a few months our very elderly parents were looked after by a number of carers from Oxford Aunts. All of the carers that were placed with us, without exception, were unhappy with the way they were being managed by Oxford Aunts. We were also very unhappy with the way that we were being managed by Oxford Aunts. We had two full-time carers looking after our parents and Oxford Aunts continually bullied us to take on even more carers. Oxford Aunts charged a daily agency fee which was more than the combined daily wages of both carers. When we asked them to reduce the agency fee they made a small reduction but continued to insist that we take on even more carers. It was utterly intolerable and instead of providing us with support, we felt continuously threatened and harassed. In addition to having to cope with the emotional trauma of our parents having complex medical issues and being right at the ends of their lives - a time when we particularly needed support - Oxford Aunts made our lives hell. We do not recommend that you use this agency.
