"Main reception Switchboard "

About: University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

My husband got taken In for an emergency operation today. I have been trying to contact the main switchboard to be transferred to the relevant ward to find out how his operation went.

I am extremely worried and understand that at this current time due to Covid 19 visitors are not allowed.

I have been trying to get through to speak to someone for the past 50 mins on the switchboard but the lines just rings for around 40 secs and the call gets dropped.

I understand Switchboard May be busy however for not one of my 80 attempted calls to get answered is extremely frustrating.

If the switchboard is not working than they need to be notified as this is very distressing for me not being able to know how my partners operation went and if he is well. There must be so many ppl experiencing the same frustration of not getting through.

The main switchboard is the only port of call we have to get any access to the correct designated ward.

Thank you
