"Feeling frustrated "

About: Long Sutton Medical Centre

I've had repeated issues with the practice not sending prescriptions through to the pharmacy and it has left me in tears, without medication and humiliated in the pharmacy on several occasions. I have asked for help with a fungal infection and at a telephone appointment they asked me to send a photo of the rash, the link never arrived. I was given a prescription anyway which they said they were sending to Boots, when I rang ahead they hadn't. I went to pick up the prescription and spoke to the receptionist, even showing them some of the rash but I was still told that I could not be seen in person unless I had another telephone triage appointment which I reluctantly agreed to. I don't feel comfortable sending images for multiple reasons, it would be necessary to remove my top and this was very triggering due to past sexual harassment. Some would be uncomfortable for religious or cultural reasons so why can skin complaints not be dealt with in person wearing PPE, even looked at through clear screens if necessary? I'm sick of jumping through hoops just to get simple care. The pharmacist in town centre was not happy with the fact I was being palmed off with phone appointments. I have not slept through the night for several days due to itching and am unable to wear a lot of my clothes as it hurts my skin. My mental health has taken a huge hit too. I feel like the practice staff (non medical) just don't care. I have followed advice and used self care and the pharmacy first but am extremely frustrated about the gate keeping that is going on.

All I want is to get rid of the rash so I can look and feel like myself again, I've cried with frustration so much.
