Our little girl recieved excellent care in Newcastle Freeman hospital. She recieved a cardiac transplantation in April 2019. She was 2 years old at the time. The team work tirelessly to ensure she was well looked after throughout. They had a person for everything and were very well organised. Daily ward rounds to nurses making sure not only our little girls was ok but we were. Being from the north west area we were put up by CHUF in scott house so the worry and stress of were to stay was taken away. Brilliant doctors, nurses, consultant, surgeons, play therapist, dietitians the list is endless of the people and support systems they have in place. Our story sadly didn't end well and we lost our gorgeous girl but we are so proud of her and her fight and also the people who helped us through them dark moments while in hospital. Even after her death they still phone to check on us. Our hearts will never heal but we know that she was taken care of in the best place and they did everything humanly possible to keep her with us. Thank you will never be enough for giving our girl an extra 4 months with us. Memories made.
