Having being involved in a road traffic accident in June, I was admitted to ward 34 and underwent surgery, I cannot praise the team on ward 34 enough, have never had surgery or been in hospital before, nothing was too much trouble and the care was exceptional. The surgical team were wonderful, I was unable to have sedation due to underlying medical issues, so remained awake during what turned out to be major surgery, I was at first petrified, they put me at ease and talked to me throughout the long procedure.
Anyone who is admitted to hospital needing surgery should take note, if you are worried, please ask for help, the whole team did so much for me that I can't possibly praise them enough.
Thank you so much to you all.
"Amazing care whilst under considerable pressure"
