"Waiting for an MRI scan"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I've been ill since March with various worrying symptoms, which I've spoken to my GP about. I'm struggling to cope with day to day tasks due to illness and the uncertainty of not knowing what is wrong. I've spoken to a neurologist on the phone and he agreed to refer me for an mri. I was told it could take a couple of weeks, however, after calling the mri department I was told it was down as 'routine' and not urgent, so it could take weeks to hear anything. I'm starting to feel my illness does not matter. Nobody is listening to me about how bad my symptoms are or finding out what is causing it. Paracetamol isn't going to make whatever it is get better. I really need that mri scan asap.
