"Welcoming Department"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

From the time I arrived in the department to leaving I felt very safe, everyone understood my anxieties over a procedure I dreaded and helped me to get through it. Each member of staff involved in my care introduced themselves and were very friendly but remained professional. On completion everything was explained to me so I didn't leave wondering if anything was wrong with me. Although I wouldn't want another gastroscopy in a hurry if I needed one Stepping hill is where I would want to go. Thank you to everyone in the department.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. It’s great to hear that you felt so supported by the staff, who introduced themselves, and gave full explanation of the procedure that you underwent was given.

Knowing the name of the people that are caring for you, and fully understanding what is going on is so important in making your experience a positive one.

I will most definitely pass your kind words and lovely comments to the teams who cared for you throughout your time with us.

Best wishes
