"NOT IMPRESSED"

About: Dunstable Health Centre

I was bitten by my dog yesterday and rang 111 for assistance. They were very thorough and made an appointment at Dunstable Health Centre. I went there and was told by the Doctor that I had to have a tetanus booster although I had my last vaccination in 2012 and so I should go to A&E. At A&E I was sent to the urgent GP dept. All this time I was exposed to people not wearing masks at the L&D both staff and patients. The urgent GP told me I did not need a tetanus booster and gave me antibiotics. So I could have actually been treated at the Dunstable Health Centre and not have to put myself at risk of going to the L&D to be confronted with staff who were wearing scrubs but not masks. Whomever the doctor was at the Health Centre clearly did not have the skills to treat me. Very disappointing and now I am worried that I have been exposed to Covid-19 when I have barely been of my house since the lockdown started as my mother is shielding.
