"The care provided and lack of communication"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My 75 year old dad was admitted via A+E with chest pain. He had the required tests, was told he would be staying overnight. I contacted the ward at 9. 45pm who didnt mention a possible discharge just he might require and ECHO. Then at 10pm was told he was being discharged. I was unable to drive the 30 miles to the hospital as was too tired (having been up since 5am and felt it unsafe to drive). They then got him a taxi which got him home just before midnight. No follow up about the Covid test he had or advice about how to manage the possible muscular pain. Very disappointed in the care provided and lack of communication.

In order for us to review this matter fully I would advise you to contact NHS Highland Feedback Team by either calling on 01463 705997 or by email at nhshighland.feedback@nhs.net
