"Worried by the long wait"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I had two skin biopsies done in nov 2019, I got result just before covid 19 hit, I've got bowens disease and basal cell carcinoma which seems to be getting worse, I'm awaiting app to discuss treatments, how long am I likely to wait, I do understand NHS is under tremendous pressure but I'm getting bit worried by the long wait.

Dear June11

I completely understand your concern and please be reassured that you have not been forgotten.

As part of the acute response to prepare for the predicted impact of COVID 19, the Dermatology service was largely put on hold and resources including staff were redirected to dealing with the demands of this. We are now in the process of re-establishing our service in line with social distancing measures as patient and staff safety is paramount.

Could you please contact me on 01563 827923 so that I can look into your situation?

Kind regards

Sandra Hanlon
