"Lack of social distancing in eye clinic"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

I have had to attend the emergency eye clinic twice in the last 4 weeks and on both occasions have been disappointed at the lack of social distancing. Okay, 3 out of every 4 seats are out of use but patients are queuing for reception right next to patients waiting for treatment in the red chairs. I took the only spare red chair and had somebody standing very close to me waiting for their turn at a busy and slow reception. Despite having an appointment on both occasions, I waited over an hour before treatment in this worrying environment. I was also worried to see patients ignoring the stand behind lines at reception and even moving to the side of the perspex screen. Reception staff did nothing to ask patients to social distance. This needs addressing urgently.
