Was due to have a leg amputated by May but this was postponed due to COVID19. My depression got worse due to my procedure being postponed and the pain was so terrible I had to give in and accept the morphine offered to me. The side effects are horrific and I'm still in ALOT of pain but I don't want to accept the offered increase.
Am I angry that my surgery was postponed, of course, I am, I'm in terrible terrible pain that is spreading and getting worse.
HOWEVER - I do not blame the staff at the GRI, who have been wonderful. They have been under tremendous pressure due to COVID19. And to me they are Heroes.
Please if your upset that surgery or treatment has been delayed due to the current crisis, that the staff are doing the best they can under so much pressure and cut them some slack.
